A message from the Anaheim Police Department Foundation

The Anaheim Police Department Foundation is a non-profit, independent organization that provides critical resources to the Anaheim Police Department in support of their mission to maintain a safe community to live, work and play. The crucial funding provided by the Anaheim Police Department Foundation directly enhances the department’s ability to proactively impact crime, ensure they are a high performing organization and to enhance their community relationships. The Anaheim Police Department Foundation accomplishes this by investing in state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technology; advanced professional development and training programs; and employee safety and wellness programs, for the women and men of the Anaheim Police Department. Each of these areas are frequently impacted by diminishing government resources and the goal of the Anaheim Police Department Foundation is to bring additional support to the needs of the department. It is the belief of the Anaheim Police Department Foundation that together we can make a difference.

Here is where you can donate to support the Police Department

State of the Art Equipment and Cutting-Edge Technology

The use of state-of-the-art equipment and technology will improve the policing practices and build community trust and legitimacy. This will give the police department an opportunity to utilize equipment and technology that enhances their crime fighting strategies and help engage the community on crime trends, transparency and accountability. Examples of these areas are the development of a real time crime center, drones, increased cameras in public areas, social connectivity regarding crime prevention and police accountability information, and community education and engagement about the police departments strategies and accomplishments.

Advanced Professional Development and Training Programs

The emphasis of the professional development and training programs will be in the areas of leadership development, de-escalation and conflict resolution, customer service and other areas not typically found in the traditional police training programs. This will be high quality training provided by educational institutions, the private sector and governmental agencies from local and national institutions.

Employee Safety and Wellness Programs

Our goal is to help find ways to support the mental, emotional and physical health of the women and men of the Anaheim Police Department.
